File types and limits

Plain-text source files can use any source extension or no extension, such as .bas or Makefile. UTF-8 and UTF-16 with BOM are supported. Binary and protected files are excluded. For other encodings, save a UTF-8 copy first.

UTF-8 / UTF-16 (BOM) text/code/CSV: 64 KiB and 24,000 characters. Supported DOCX text: 10 MiB package, 24,000 characters. PDF: read-only, 10 MiB and 100 pages. Scanned or password-protected PDFs, images, .doc, .xlsx and .pptx are not supported here.

PDF: extracted text only, up to 60,000 characters. Images, diagrams and scans are not read. The original is unchanged.

Up to 1,000 files / 2,000 entries are indexed. Select or pin up to 12 files. Each read covers at most 5,000 Unicode characters; tasks allow up to 12 AI calls, five minutes and eight writes per connection. Partial reads are possible; narrow the request.

Saved session

Local history stays on this device.

If something fails

Use a supported desktop Chrome/Edge browser over HTTPS. For missing files, check selected scope, size limits and hidden/secret exclusions such as .env. For scans, provide extracted text. For conflicts, preview again. An administrator must enable the feature if it is unavailable.

Direct editing needs browser support for folder read/write access. Uploads and downloads do not update originals.
