Define the research brief
- State the main question and the decision the report should support.
- Set a geography, industry, audience, and time range.
- Name required sections, comparison criteria, and preferred source types.
- Call out assumptions that should be tested rather than accepted.
Generate the report
- Open Research mode
Choose Research from the product mode controls.
- Submit the complete brief
Include the objective, scope, constraints, and desired output structure in one request.
- Review the evidence
Inspect citations behind decisive facts, numbers, and comparisons.
- Request a revision
Ask for missing perspectives, stronger sources, a shorter executive summary, or a decision matrix.
Turn research into action
Finish by asking for the bottom line, risks, unresolved questions, and recommended next step. You can then continue the work in a document when the report needs editing or publication.
Example brief: “Compare the top five options for our use case using total cost, implementation time, security, and scalability. Use sources from the last 18 months and include an executive recommendation.”
