Create and edit images

Image mode turns a visual brief into an image. Describe the result you want, choose the available image settings, and review the output before using it.

Create your first image

  1. Choose Image

Select Image in the mode row above the composer on desktop, or open Add files & more and use the mode selector on smaller screens.

  2. Describe the picture

Include the subject, setting, composition, colors and style. Quote any text you want in the picture and say where it should appear.

  3. Choose settings and send

Use the available model, size and quality controls, then send your request. Available sizes depend on the selected model.

Example: “A square product photo of a blue ceramic mug on a pale background, soft daylight, no text or logo.”

Edit an image

Use Edit this image on a generated image to prepare it as a reference in the composer. You can also attach a supported image using the file controls. Wait for the attachment to finish preparing before sending.

Describe both what should change and what should stay the same. Check that the intended reference image is attached; an instruction alone does not identify a previous image reliably.

Review and keep the result

  • Inspect lettering, faces, proportions and other important details; generated images can contain mistakes.
  • Use the image download action to keep a copy. Keep your original separately when editing.
  • If the result is close, make one focused change at a time instead of replacing the whole brief.

Privacy and responsible use

Your prompt and attached reference images are sent to cloud AI for generation. Only upload material you are authorized to share, and avoid including sensitive personal information.

Review rights, consent and the accuracy of any implied claims before publishing. AI-generated images are not evidence that an event occurred.

If generation or editing fails

Check the message shown in the app, your connection and any account or usage requirement. If an attachment failed, remove it and attach it again before retrying.

If Edit this image cannot prepare a previous result, download the image if it is still available and attach that copy. Avoid repeatedly submitting while a request is already running.
