AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE Nears Global Launch

A suite of 20 rasterization tests by PC Games Hardware found the RX 9070 GRE to be, on average, 31% faster than the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB and 29% faster than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB . AIB partner cards from brands like PowerColor and XFX were available at a regional price of around 4,199 RMB (~$575) . This launch strategy as a China-only product mirrors the initial release of the RX 7900 GRE .

Evidence is now mounting that this exclusivity is ending. Multiple tech outlets reported on May 25, 2026, that AMD is preparing to move the RX 9070 GRE to global distribution channels . Reports of global-version packaging have appeared, suggesting that retailers outside of China are preparing for sales .
