Samsung One UI 8.5 rollout: confirmed Galaxy devices, beta list and new AI features

The Galaxy S26 series is a separate case: Android Authority reported that Samsung announced stable One UI 8.5 alongside the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026, before the May 6 expansion to older devices.^[14]

Rollout timing and order

Samsung’s official timing is Korea first on May 6, 2026, with additional regions after that.^[25] SamMobile reported that the stable release reaches the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra and S25 Edge first in South Korea, followed by other regions; Android Central likewise reported the S25 lineup and S25 Edge first, with older flagships, foldables and tablets next.^[2][3]

The important caveat is that availability is not just about the phone model. Android Central reported that One UI 8.5 features depend on device model and region, and SamMobile reported that some AI features are limited to select phones and tablets.^[3][2]

Samsung’s beta program adds more models to watch, but beta availability should not be read as a confirmed stable rollout date for every market.

New Galaxy AI and interface features

What remains unconfirmed

The available Samsung rollout and beta notices do not add up to a complete, official model-by-model eligibility database for every Galaxy S, Z, A, M, F and Tab device. The stable announcement names specific recent flagship, foldable, FE and tablet families, while the beta announcements name additional test devices.^[25][26][1]

That means the safest reading is simple: if you own a Galaxy S25 or S24-family phone, S25 FE or S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold7 or Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6 or Flip6, or a Galaxy Tab S11 or Tab S10-series tablet, your device family appears in Samsung’s official stable rollout announcement.^[25] If you own a Galaxy S23-series phone, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy S23 FE or Galaxy A36 5G, Samsung has named your device in the beta program, but the May 6 stable announcement does not provide a final stable date for each of those models.^[1][25]
