The Ascend 950DT chips and the Atlas 950 SuperPoD are expected to be generally available in the fourth quarter of 2026 .
The Atlas 950 SuperPoD will make its physical first-ever public exhibition ("真机首展") at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai, running July 17–20, 2026 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center .
Huawei has explicitly compared the Atlas 950 SuperPoD to Nvidia's forthcoming Vera Rubin NVL144 platform and claimed superiority on raw NPU count and aggregate compute.
Important caveat: These are theoretical peak figures claimed by Huawei. Comparisons at the system level — real-world training throughput, power efficiency, software ecosystem maturity — have not been independently benchmarked. Nvidia's CUDA ecosystem remains far more mature, and the NVL144 is also not yet shipping.
Independent analysts have flagged significant concerns about the Atlas 950's real-world competitiveness:
Huawei is preparing to enter the South Korean AI accelerator market in the fourth quarter of 2026 with the Ascend 950DT chips and Atlas 950 SuperPoD .
