Samsung’s Android 17-based One UI 9 beta is moving beyond its initial Galaxy S26 launch and September’s S25/foldable expansion. The clearest reported public rollout adds 10 more phones, including the Galaxy S23 family, Galaxy S24 FE and 2024 foldables. A separate Galaxy Watch beta should not be confused with this phone program. 12
The newly added One UI 9 beta phones
The reported expanded rollout covers these models:
- Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S24 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7
- Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6
- Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A56
12
The Galaxy A36 is a less certain case. Beta firmware has been reported for the A36, including an India build, but it was not named among the 10 phones in the reported public expansion. Firmware activity can indicate testing rather than an enrollable beta, so the Samsung Members notice on the phone is the practical confirmation. 12

How this rollout builds on the earlier beta waves
Samsung began the One UI 9 beta, built on Android 17, with the Galaxy S26 series in May 2026. Samsung described the release as bringing enhancements in creativity, customization, accessibility and security. 37
The next officially announced expansion added the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 FE, Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. Samsung said those devices could join through Samsung Members in select markets. 9
The later wave then brought the S23 trio, S24 FE, Fold6, Flip6, A57 and A56 into the reported rollout. 12
Which countries can enroll?
For Samsung’s officially announced September expansion—the S25 family and Fold7/Flip7—the listed markets are India, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States. 9
The initial S26 beta also covered Germany and Poland, alongside India, South Korea, the U.K. and the U.S. 7
That does not mean every model is open in every country. Beta eligibility can differ by regional variant, carrier and available program capacity. If the One UI Beta Program banner does not appear in Samsung Members on the device itself, enrollment is not currently available for that device/account combination.
Galaxy Watch7: a separate beta program
The Galaxy Watch beta is not the Android 17-based One UI 9 phone beta. Samsung’s Watch preview is tied to One UI Watch, including the One UI 8 Watch feature set, and has been offered to a limited group of users. Samsung says several of the new health features require a Galaxy Watch7 series or later. 19
42
What the Watch beta adds
The Watch software experience includes redesigned Tiles intended to fit more useful information on the small display. 17 Samsung also describes these health-focused additions:
- Bedtime Guidance, for sleep-oriented recommendations
- Vascular Load, which assesses vascular-system stress during sleep
- Running Coach, for personalized training guidance
- Antioxidant Index, which measures carotenoid levels
19
Some features are explicitly preview features, and availability varies by watch, phone compatibility, region and software version. Samsung identifies Vascular Load and Antioxidant Index as Labs features. 19
Health insights are wellness tools, not medical diagnoses. Samsung also notes that certain services require at least seven days of activity records, with 28 days of continuous wear recommended for best accuracy. 18
How to enroll safely
Before installing any beta, create a backup, use dependable Wi-Fi and make sure the phone and watch have ample charge. A beta can contain bugs, and it is a poor fit for a device needed for essential work, travel, payments or health access.
Enrolling a Galaxy phone
- Update Samsung Members and sign in with your Samsung account.
- Open Samsung Members and look for a One UI Beta Program banner or notice.
- Read and accept the enrollment terms.
- Open Settings → Software update → Download and install once the beta is offered.
- After installation, submit reproducible issues through Samsung Members’ beta-feedback tools.
Samsung confirms that the One UI 9 beta is accessed through the Samsung Members app. 9
37
Enrolling a Galaxy Watch
- Pair the eligible Watch7 with its compatible Galaxy phone.
- Update Galaxy Wearable, the Watch plug-in, Samsung Members and Samsung Health.
- On the paired phone, check Samsung Members for the Watch beta enrollment notice.
- Once registered, use Galaxy Wearable → Watch settings → Watch software update to check for and install the update.
- Keep the watch charged and close to the phone until the installation and restart are complete.
Do not sideload firmware or change a device’s region settings just to force access. The safest rule is simple: enroll only when Samsung Members presents the beta for the exact phone or watch you own.
