The inclusion of these titles alongside PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions signals that the Switch 2 is being treated as a genuine, day and date target for major multi platform releases rather than an afterthought.
Sega’s chaotic arcade-driving series is back in a big way. Helmed by original creator Kenji Kanno, Crazy Taxi: World Tour sends protagonist Axel on a globe-trotting chase to recover his stolen taxi . The trailer, backed by the iconic Offspring track "All I Want," confirmed the game will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2027 . Nintendo-focused outlets immediately tracked it as a key third-party win for the console.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember
Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo made it official: the dark fantasy action RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is getting a sequel, and it's coming to Switch 2. Wings of Ember will bring its fast-paced Chinese martial arts combat against monstrous demons to the platform for the first time when it releases in early 2027 . The announcement included a gameplay teaser showcasing phoenix-like elemental powers and new mythical beasts .
A missing piece: What about the other rumored games?
You may have seen reports including Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Minecraft Dungeons II, or even Persona 6 as Switch 2 titles from this event. While a "Best of Showcase" trailer compilation does show those games appearing during the event, their specific platform availability for Switch 2 is not supported by the reporting in the provided sources . The clearest evidence centers specifically on Spyro, Crazy Taxi, and Wo Long 2.
What this means for the Switch 2
Getting a brand-new mascot platformer, a major Sega revival, and a technical action sequel announced alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions is a serious signal. It suggests Nintendo’s new hardware is no longer being left out of the initial multi-platform launch plans that define a game's biggest marketing moment .
The trend goes beyond this single showcase. Earlier in 2026, a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase confirmed that titles like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered were on the way . The Xbox Games Showcase continues that momentum, proving that major publishers are now treating a simultaneous Switch 2 launch as standard business rather than a risky technical challenge.
The data is still early, but the direction is unmistakable. When an Xbox summer showcase prompts dedicated Nintendo-focused recap articles listing the newly announced Switch 2 games, the era of late, compromised, or skipped ports appears to be fading fast.
