As of early August 2026, on-chain analyst Tom Wan reported that the total market capitalization of assets on Robinhood Chain surpassed $1 billion, with this composition :
| Asset Class | Share of $1B |
|---|---|
| Stablecoins (USDG, USDC, etc.) + yield-bearing variants | ~68% |
| Ethereum (WETH and bridged ETH) | ~28% |
| Other assets (tokenized RWAs, memecoins, etc.) | ~4% |
Despite being pitched as an institutional-grade RWA platform, memecoin speculation has been the primary driver of early transaction volume and DEX activity :
CEO Vlad Tenev initially dismissed memecoins in a CNBC interview on July 3, only to embrace them days later on X: "While we're building Robinhood Chain to be the best chain for RWA… it works great for memes, too" .
Robinhood Chain uses ETH as its native gas token, not a proprietary token. The chain is built on Arbitrum Orbit, which settles to Ethereum and inherits ETH as its economic asset. Robinhood has not announced any plans for a native chain token. Multiple analyses note that the chain's positioning — as a brokerage-led financial super-app chain — makes a native token unnecessary, since fee revenue (over $3.6 million in July) accrues to Robinhood the company, not to token holders .
