NVIDIA introduced DSX Ready on September 21, 2026, to give AI data center builders a clearer way to select power and cooling equipment for its DSX AI Factory designs. The program reviews partner products against applicable reference-design requirements, beginning with battery energy storage systems and cooling distribution units. That product-level qualification does not, by itself, approve a completed facility.

How DSX Ready helps builders choose equipment
DSX Ready connects equipment selection to NVIDIA’s DSX AI Factory reference designs. Instead of relying only on a supplier’s specifications, builders can identify products that have gone through a category-specific review against applicable DSX requirements. NVIDIA says this can help teams evaluate options and reduce integration risk as they move toward deployment. Site-level design and integration still require their own assessment.

Which partners qualified first?
The launch covered two equipment categories:
- Battery energy storage systems (BESS): Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution and Tesla.
11
14
- Cooling distribution units (CDUs): LG Electronics, LiquidStack and Vertiv. CDUs serve the liquid-cooling infrastructure used around high-density compute systems.

These are the initial partners in the two announced categories—not a blanket qualification of every product each company makes.

What qualified in LG’s CDU lineup?
LG Electronics says its 600 kW and 1 MW CDUs qualified first. Its later 2.6 MW CDU also qualified as an NVIDIA DSX Ready CDU by meeting the applicable DSX reference-design requirements; LG says that model was listed on the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Marketplace. The distinction is specific: the qualification applies to the identified CDU products, not automatically to LG’s wider cooling portfolio.

How does LG’s new chiller fit in?
LG also announced an air-cooled centrifugal chiller rated at 480–600 refrigeration tons per unit. It describes an oil-free magnetic-bearing compressor and refrigerant-based free cooling. LG says the chiller can return to full cooling capacity within three minutes after power is restored following an interruption.

For energy use, LG cites approximately 30% less annual consumption than waterside free-cooling in its internal simulations. That is a company-reported comparison under simulation conditions, not an independently established saving for every installation. The cited DSX Ready announcements establish qualification for LG’s CDUs; they do not establish that this chiller is DSX Ready.

What has not been confirmed?
The provided announcements do not establish what LG specifically plans to exhibit at Data Centre World Asia 2026, or identify equipment categories NVIDIA has committed to add to DSX Ready next. For now, builders should treat BESS and CDUs as the documented launch categories and check qualification for the particular product they intend to use.
