Telltale has pushed The Wolf Among Us Remastered on Nintendo Switch beyond its planned October 29, 2026 release. The studio says the version needs more time, but has not named a specific cause or set a new date. PlayStation, Xbox and PC releases remain scheduled for October 29.

What Telltale has said about the delay
In its October 16 update, Telltale said the Switch version “needs a little more time,” will launch later, and that “Timing [is] coming soon.” The statement does not identify a technical issue or offer a replacement date.
16
That leaves Switch players without a confirmed launch day. Telltale’s update keeps the October 29 release on track for PlayStation, Xbox and PC; Gematsu’s report lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Steam and the Epic Games Store among the versions still scheduled for that date.

Is the Switch 2 version delayed too?
Earlier release announcements and reports listed both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 among the planned platforms.

12 But Telltale’s delay message refers only to “the Nintendo Switch version.”
16 The announcement does not clarify whether a separate Switch 2 edition is affected, so its status should be treated as unconfirmed rather than assumed either way.
What the remaster revisits
The remaster brings back Telltale’s episodic noir adventure, originally released across 2013 and 2014 and based on Bill Willingham’s Fables comic series.

43 Telltale and co-publisher PM Studios have described the edition as a celebration of the original, rebuilt and refined for modern platforms.
