The King’s Gambit is a substantial free update for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, not simply a balance patch. Version 2.0 adds the game’s final story chapter, a demanding Rat King endgame battle and a new ending. Rat King is not available immediately. Players must defeat Shredder multiple times and successfully rescue Master Splinter before accessing Rat King’s realm and the new endgame run. Defeating Rat King unlocks the campaign’s new final ending.

Slash’s paid content includes five new Artifacts that can change how players build their character during runs. The Samurai Armor Pack is a separate cosmetic offering with outfits inspired by classic samurai gear.

A physical Splintered Fate Legendary Edition is planned for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27, 2026. Nighthawk Interactive is publishing the edition in partnership with Super Evil Megacorp.
