BlizzCon 2026 set out Diablo IV’s next milestones: a nostalgia-driven Season 15 and a Nintendo Switch 2 collection arrive on September 15, 2026, while the returning Amazon is planned as the game’s first class pack in the first half of 2027.

The Amazon arrives in the first half of 2027
The Amazon is being reimagined for Diablo IV as a disciplined, athletic warrior from the island of Skovos, a location Blizzard says was first revealed in Lord of Hatred. Her kit spans four gameplay archetypes: Champion, Skirmisher, Ranger, and Commander.

She will use both bows and javelins. The javelin is especially notable because Blizzard describes it as a new weapon type for Diablo IV, giving the roster a weapon category it has not previously used.

Blizzard calls this release Diablo IV’s first class pack, positioning the Amazon as the next major playable-class addition after the game’s existing lineup.

Season 15: Season of Hell’s Legacy
Season of Hell’s Legacy begins rolling out on September 15, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. PT. It is built as Diablo’s 30th-anniversary celebration, drawing on characters, enemies, locations, rewards and gear from across the series’ history.

The seasonal story brings back Deckard Cain and the three Prime Evils—Diablo, Baal and Mephisto. Players can recover Splinters associated with the Prime Evils and bear one at a time to gain part of that evil’s power, with a corresponding cost.

Blizzard also confirmed Nightmare Rifts, anniversary rewards and gear inspired by earlier Diablo eras. The season is designed less as a single callback than as a playable tour through the franchise’s major settings and threats.

That means Switch 2 players can start with both expansions included rather than buying into the base game separately. Blizzard and VGC also describe the release as supporting cross-platform play and cross-progression.
