What made repairs difficult?
Water ingress and obstructions at the damage site complicated the repair work, NetLink said. Its recovery teams remained on site while it worked with internet service providers to restore affected connections.

How did it compare with the April outage?
Both incidents involved cable damage during third-party construction work, but the April 18 outage was larger. According to Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information, that incident affected approximately 5,000 subscribers in parts of Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Sengkang and Punggol. Services were fully restored at 7am on April 19.
