Originally announced at $79, the price rose to $99 before it started shipping . That still undercuts the company's earlier keyboard cases (which cost $139–$159) and positions the Power Keyboard as a universal accessory rather than a phone-specific case.

How the Power Keyboard Works

The Power Keyboard is a standalone Bluetooth accessory, not a case. It slides out from behind your phone when you need it and retracts when you don't. The key hardware details:

• Slide-out QWERTY keyboard with tactile, clickable keys, a dedicated number row, directional keys, and adjustable LED backlighting
• Magnetic attachment via MagSafe (iPhone 12 and later) or Qi2 (Android devices)
• Bluetooth 5.4 LE connectivity, pairing with up to 9 devices simultaneously
• Built-in battery — reported as 2,150 mAh in most news coverage and 2,300 mAh on Clicks' official product page . Sources agree that 500 mAh is reserved by default for the keyboard itself, with the rest available for 5W Qi wireless charging to your phone
• Portrait and landscape orientation support, adjustable to different phone sizes via multiple slider positions
• Clicks companion app for iOS and Android — lets you disable wireless charging, set a power reserve, and configure programmable shortcut keys, including Apple Shortcuts integration
• Dimensions: 119.7 × 76.6 × 15.2 mm, 180g — about the size of a slim power bank

Real-World Trade-Offs

Early reviews note the keyboard feels satisfying to type on, with good key travel and layout . But there are compromises. At 15.2 mm thick and 180 g, the Power Keyboard adds noticeable bulk. TechCrunch found it awkward to use in portrait mode with larger phones like the iPhone 17 Pro Max . The device charges via USB-C (cable not included) , and the 5W wireless charging is slow by modern standards — fine for topping up, not a full charge solution.

Compatibility: Which Phones Work

The Power Keyboard works with any phone that supports MagSafe or Qi2 wireless charging:

• iPhone: iPhone 12 and later models with MagSafe
• Android: Any phone with Qi2 wireless charging, such as the Pixel 9, Galaxy S series, and foldables
• Non-compatible phones: You can use an adhesive magnetic ring or a case with a magnetic profile
• Other devices: Tablets, smart TVs (e.g., Apple TV), and AR/VR headsets that support external Bluetooth keyboards

Importantly, the keyboard works with existing cases — you don't need to remove your case to attach it .

The Clicks Communicator: A Standalone Keyboard Phone

The Power Keyboard isn't Clicks' only play. The company has also announced the Clicks Communicator, a standalone smartphone with an integrated physical keyboard, positioned as a compact "companion phone" focused on communication rather than content consumption . Key details:

• Price: $499 (early-bird pricing at $399 with a $199 deposit)
• Launch window: Q4 2026 ; pre-production hardware was shown in a hands-on video in June 2026
• Operating System: Android 17 (initially announced with Android 16)
• Specs: 256 GB onboard storage, microSD expandable to 2 TB, 4,450 mAh silicon-carbon battery, 4.03-inch AMOLED display, 50 MP rear camera with OIS, 24 MP front camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack
• Availability: Initially through clicks.tech, with reservations opened in early 2026

Battery Capacity Note

There's a small discrepancy across sources. Most news outlets report a 2,150 mAh battery , while Clicks' official product page lists 2,300 mAh . This may reflect a spec change between the January 2026 announcement and final production, or a rounding difference. Either way, the functional capacity is similar: 500 mAh reserved for keyboard operation and the remainder available for wireless charging.

Where to Buy

The Power Keyboard is available directly from clicks.tech at $99 . As of August 2026, the company was still fulfilling first-batch pre-orders, and new orders may face wait times. The product ships internationally.

Bottom Line

The Clicks Power Keyboard is a niche but well-executed accessory for anyone who misses tactile typing on a smartphone. At $99, it's cheaper than Clicks' earlier case-based keyboards and more versatile, working with virtually any modern phone via MagSafe or Qi2. The trade-off is added bulk and a slower wireless charging speed. If you're willing to carry a slightly thicker phone, the Power Keyboard delivers the best BlackBerry-style typing experience available on today's flagship devices.
