The most significant feature cut on the base Pixel 11 is HiLight (previously referred to as "Pixel Glow"). Multiple leakers, notably @evowizz on X, report that HiLight is exclusive to the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold .

HiLight is a multicolored RGB LED embedded in the camera bar that lights up when the phone is face down. According to an official French marketing image shared by leaker Roland Quandt, it "lights up discreetly when your favorite contacts call or when you chat with Gemini" .

What this means for buyers

The base Pixel 11 looks like a solid all-around upgrade over the Pixel 10: more RAM, double the base storage, a larger battery, a new chip, and a telephoto camera. But the absence of HiLight makes the glowing camera bar a clear Pro-series differentiator — and a visual cue that the base model lacks.
