Broader 2026 Mega Evolution Calendar and Collector Context

The 2026 release calendar for the Mega Evolution era is unusually dense, with six major English expansions plus the franchise's 30th anniversary celebration :

Key timing dynamics:

• Delta Reign is the year's final main-line Mega Evolution expansion, capping off a rapid cadence of roughly one major set every two months .
• The 30th Anniversary Celebration set (expected around September 2026) sits between Pitch Black and Delta Reign — meaning collectors face three major releases (Pitch Black, 30th Celebration, Delta Reign) in a tight five-month window .
• Mega Rayquaza ex hits TCG Pocket first (July 30), then Storm Emeralda in Japan (July 31), then Delta Reign in English (Nov. 6) — giving mobile players a significant preview window before the physical cards arrive .
• Rayquaza is one of the most popular Pokémon in the franchise's history, and Delta Reign is widely expected to be one of the most sought-after collector sets of 2026, likely driving significant secondary-market demand for Mega Rayquaza ex chase cards .

Bottom line for collectors: 2026 is a high-velocity year with six Mega Evolution sets. Delta Reign (Nov. 6) is the finale and the most anticipated from a single-card value standpoint, but the compressed Q3–Q4 schedule — Pitch Black (July 17), 30th Anniversary (~Sept.), and Delta Reign (Nov. 6) — means collectors should plan for three major release windows in quick succession. Full product configurations and pull rates for Delta Reign are still unannounced and will influence preorder and secondary-market strategy once revealed .
