Google's First Gemini Southeast Asia Report: Local Languages Drive Record Adoption and Spark an Always-On AI Agent

Gemini Spark Rolls Out in Local Languages

Gemini Spark is a persistent, always-on AI agent that runs 24/7 on Google Cloud virtual machines, working in the background even when a user's phone or laptop is off . It integrates with Gmail, Docs, Slides, and other Google Workspace services to proactively complete tasks .

Google announced on July 14, 2026, that it is rolling out Gemini Spark in local Southeast Asian languages to Gemini Advanced subscribers starting that week . This follows Spark's initial debut at Google I/O on May 19, 2026, for US-based Google AI Ultra subscribers .
