Solos AirGo A6 and Privacy Kit: The Two-Pronged Strategy Smart Glasses Needed

At just 19 grams without lenses, the AirGo A6 is dramatically lighter than its predecessor, the AirGo A5, which weighed between 36–40 grams. The weight savings come primarily from thinner temple arms that house the speakers, battery, and electronics ^T.

The Privacy Kit: A Physical Solution for Camera-Equipped Glasses

For users who already own or prefer the camera-equipped AirGo V2, Solos introduced a Privacy Kit that provides two physical ways to block the camera ^EF:

• ClearView Temple: A camera-free temple that replaces the camera module on the AirGo V2, effectively converting the glasses into a non-recording frame for privacy-sensitive situations.
• Clip-On Privacy Shield: A physical cover that clips over the 16MP camera lens to block it.

The AirGo V2, launched at CES 2026, already featured a modular SmartHinge design that allowed users to swap between camera and non-camera frames ^TVH. The Privacy Kit formalizes and simplifies that swap. The V2 itself is available starting at $299, though the charging case is sold separately ^TV.
