A dedicated plugin package (com.samsung.accessory.ablemgr) was also found inside the Wearable app, indicating Samsung is actively building out ecosystem support for the Able device .

Galaxy Able: Clip-On Earbuds with an Unclear Name

The Galaxy Able — or Galaxy Buds Able, as it has also been called — represents Samsung's first foray into open-ear clip-on audio. Here is what the leaks tell us so far.

Naming Uncertainty

The device has been referred to by two different names depending on the source and timing of the leak :

• "Galaxy Buds Able" — used in earlier firmware and APK teardowns from April–May 2026
• "Galaxy Able" — the name found in the most recent Galaxy Wearable app code from July 2026

The newer code strings and plugin use the shorter "Galaxy Able" name, suggesting Samsung may have dropped "Buds" from the final retail branding. Samsung has not confirmed either name.

Design and Audio

Multiple leaked icons and firmware discoveries point to a clip-on open-ear design that attaches to the outer ear rather than inserting into the ear canal . The speaker directs sound toward the ear without sealing it, allowing users to remain aware of their surroundings — a design similar to the Huawei FreeClip .

There is significant disagreement among leaks about the audio technology:

• Some earlier leaks claimed bone conduction technology would be used
• A more recent ETNews report, however, states Samsung is expected to use an air-conduction audio system, which is becoming increasingly common in open-ear earbuds

Samsung has not officially confirmed which audio system will ship.

Charging Case and Certification

The charging case capacity has been pegged at 515 mAh nominal / 530 mAh typical, nearly matching the Huawei FreeClip's 510 mAh . Additionally, the device has already received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), suggesting a launch is imminent .

• Vitals — a consolidated dashboard for key biometric data
• Cardio Load — a new metric that tracks cumulative cardiovascular strain over time
• Heart Health Score — a dedicated, AI-driven heart health rating
• Energy Score — aggregates sleep, activity, and heart rate data into a daily readiness score
• Personalized AI coaching — the app translates complex biometric data into simple, actionable recommendations

Samsung has stated this update will be available on upcoming Galaxy Watch models and the Galaxy Ring .

What to Expect at the July 22 Galaxy Unpacked Event

Samsung's summer Galaxy Unpacked event is widely reported to take place on July 22, 2026 in London, based on Korean economic media reports and corroborated by multiple outlets . Samsung has not officially confirmed the date, but promotional offers and retailer leaks have made it essentially certain .

Expected Product Lineup

The Galaxy Glasses are expected to be a particular highlight: they will run on Google's Android XR platform and are rumored to include a microphone, speakers, and a camera, but no display .

The Bottom Line

Samsung is preparing a massive hardware and software refresh for its wearable ecosystem. The Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 will lead the watch lineup, while the Galaxy Able represents a genuine design departure from traditional earbuds.
