The production run is strictly limited to 100 units worldwide AE. Production is already underway at McMurtry's new 29,000 sq-ft factory in Wotton-under-Edge, England, with the first customer cars expected to arrive by late 2026 ECF.
A twin-motor electric powertrain delivers approximately 1,000 hp (745 kW) to the rear wheels EEY. With a curb weight of about 1,050 kg (2,315 lb), the car achieves an almost 1:1 power-to-weight ratio E. The official 0–60 mph time stands at 1.55 seconds, though a prototype recorded a blistering 1.38 seconds under ideal conditions AEY. Top speed is approximately 190 mph (306 km/h) EY.
The Spéirling PURE's defining innovation is its "Downforce-on-Demand" system. Two rear-facing fans spin at up to 23,000 rpm to pull air from beneath the car, generating ~2,000 kg (4,400 lb) of downforce — even at a standstill EAY. That's more than double the car's own weight.
McMurtry demonstrated the system's effectiveness by driving the Spéirling upside down on an inverted track, a stunt that confirms the claim is real, not theoretical EAIY. This instant downforce is what enables cornering forces far beyond conventional supercars and the sub-1.6-second 0–60 time.
The production-spec Spéirling PURE will make its first public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 9–12, 2026 E. Its North American debut follows at The Quail, California, on August 14, 2026 E. Customer deliveries begin later in the same year EE.
The car is built to motorsport safety standards, featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque with integral rollover protection and crash structures Y. It is eligible for various US and European racing series, though McMurtry has not announced a specific championship entry E. The car is not road-legal and is strictly for closed-course use AE.
The Spéirling PURE has already proven its pace: it set a Top Gear test track lap record of 55.9 seconds, beating a Formula 1 car by over 3 seconds Y.
