Grok Bot Enterprise Launch: What Changed From Beta to Company-Wide Access

Grok Bot’s September 3 enterprise announcement changes the product’s go-to-market model as much as its audience. The August 11 release introduced durable AI teammates for paid subscribers; the enterprise launch lets existing Grok and Cursor Enterprise customers test the service across an entire organization for two weeks, including people who do not yet have a seat. 711

The biggest change: a company-wide evaluation window

The enterprise offer provides free Grok Bot usage for the next two weeks to Grok and Cursor Enterprise customers. Administrators can invite the whole organization, rather than limiting evaluation to employees who already hold seats. 11

That matters because agent software is difficult to assess in a narrow demo. A broader rollout can reveal whether people can find repeatable tasks, whether administrators can configure access safely and whether the system fits real operational processes. It does not, by itself, demonstrate reliability, security or return on investment; those still require a controlled evaluation.

From premium beta access to a much wider distribution model

Grok Bot became available on August 11 as a beta product. The release notes described it as a durable AI teammate that works from a persistent cloud computer and supports messaging, approvals, connectors and routines. 7

Access subsequently expanded. SpaceXAI says Grok Bot is included with all SuperGrok plans, Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra, and Cursor Teams Standard and Premium plans, with Bot usage kept separate from existing Grok and Cursor plan usage. 9 Current team-and-enterprise documentation likewise says individual access is included with every paid Cursor plan, while enterprise activation goes through the organization’s Cursor account team. 5

Contemporaneous reporting describes the initial individual Cursor entry point as the $200-per-month Cursor Ultra tier and the later entry point as $20-per-month Cursor Pro. 1936 The important commercial shift is clear even though plan entitlements changed quickly during the beta: Grok Bot is bundled with qualifying subscriptions rather than sold as a separate Bot product. 923

What enterprises are actually deploying

Grok Bot is positioned as more than a chatbot. Each Bot can retain a name, role and accumulated context, then operate from a persistent cloud computer with a browser, filesystem and terminal. 17

The product supports approvals, connectors and routines, which makes it suited to recurring work rather than only drafting a response in a chat window. 7 Its mobile experience connects to the same Bots, conversations, routines, connectors and cloud computer; work can continue in the cloud after the app is closed. 4

For teams, the documented focus is standing Bots for research, operations, documents, browsing and automations. 5 In practical terms, the most promising early use cases are bounded, repeatable knowledge-work tasks: gathering information, preparing documents, monitoring a routine process or completing browser-based steps that a human can review.

Enterprise controls are central to the proposition

A persistent agent that can operate software needs tighter boundaries than a conventional assistant. SpaceXAI’s enterprise documentation points to controls for network policy, egress, approvals, identity, logging, data retention and security review. 6

Private-network connectivity is available through enterprise Team Setup, but it does not override the Bot network policy or destination allowlist. In other words, being able to reach a private network does not mean a Bot can connect to every destination on it. 1

The practical deployment principle is least privilege: give a Bot only the applications, credentials, connectors and network destinations required for a defined workflow. Organizations should also use approvals for consequential actions and review logs during a pilot. Those safeguards are especially important because the Bot operates from cloud-hosted computers rather than merely generating text in a browser tab. 1617

Why the trial is a competitive move

The two-week, no-existing-seat requirement reduces a common barrier to enterprise agent testing: a company can include business users and administrators together instead of buying a limited set of evaluation seats first. 11
