Singapore’s second Data Centre Call for Application (DC-CFA2) made new data-centre capacity conditional on a competitive selection and sustainability commitments. On 21 August 2026, the Economic Development Board (EDB) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) provisionally allocated 200 megawatts (MW) to four operators, giving each 50 MW. The call attracted more than 20 proposals.

Who received the 200 MW allocation?
The provisional allocations went to:
- Digital Realty — 50 MW
- Equinix — 50 MW
- Keppel Data Centres — 50 MW
- ST Telemedia Global Data Centres — 50 MW

The four equal allocations add up to the 200 MW made available through DC-CFA2. The agencies launched the call on 1 December 2025, offering at least 200 MW and allowing for potentially more capacity through new green-energy pathways.

A competitive call with sustainability commitments
Keppel described DC-CFA2 as an open competitive process that drew more than 20 proposals. EDB’s announcement said the selected proposals were intended to advance Singapore’s strategic, economic and sustainability interests. The available sources do not detail how the agencies weighted individual criteria or ranked every proposal.

The selected operators committed to exceed the call’s minimum sustainability requirements. Reporting on the outcome says they plan to source more than half of their data-centre capacity from green energy and to adopt liquid cooling and energy-efficient IT equipment.

Reported eligible energy pathways include biomethane, low-carbon ammonia, low-carbon hydrogen, and vertical building-integrated or building-applied photovoltaics. The facilities are also intended to meet Green Mark for Data Centres Platinum certification requirements. These are stated commitments, not evidence that the projects have already been built or certified.

Where the capacity will be built
The allocated projects are associated with Jurong Island and its developing low-carbon data-centre park.

5 The available reporting connects the location with the sustainability focus of the call, but does not establish that every proposed energy source will be available to every project.
What happens next?
The 200 MW decision is a provisional allocation, not confirmation that all four facilities are operational. EDB and IMDA will review whether another call for applications is needed in 18–24 months.

In short, Singapore used DC-CFA2 to select four operators through an open competition and pair each 50 MW allocation with green-energy and efficiency commitments. The announced outcome sets out the selected proposals and their intended conditions; it does not establish that the facilities or their sustainability targets have already been delivered.
