Google Merchant Center Content API shutdown date 2026 Merchant API migration

Google’s Content API for Shopping will shut down on August 18, 2026. Integrations must migrate to the Merchant API before that date to avoid service disruption.

• Replacement: Merchant API is now Google’s primary programmatic interface for Merchant Center.
• Migration: Google provides compatibility guidance mapping Content API resources and methods to Merchant API equivalents.

• Recommended timing: Migrate and test well before August 18, including product updates, account management, reports, quotas, authentication, and error handling.
