Create a Skill

1. Open Skills

   Select the add control in the message composer, then choose Skills.

2. Create and name the Skill

   Use a specific name that describes the job, such as Product brief reviewer or Support reply writer.

3. Write the instruction

   Describe the role, required process, output format, quality checks, and boundaries the AI should follow.

4. Add placeholders where inputs change

   Use clear placeholders for details you want to fill in each time instead of saving one task’s data as a permanent rule.

5. Save and test

   Try the Skill with a realistic request and refine any instruction that produces inconsistent results.

Use a Skill in chat

1. Select the relevant Skill

   Open Skills from the composer and add one or more relevant Skills to the message.

2. Fill in the changing context

   Provide the audience, source material, constraints, and placeholder values needed for this specific task.

3. Review before relying on it

   Confirm that the result follows the Skill and remains accurate for the current input, especially for sensitive or high-impact work.

Keep Skills focused

• Give each Skill one clear responsibility.
• Prefer short, testable rules over broad or conflicting instructions.
• Use Brand Voice for writing style and Infobase for reusable source material.
• Review Skills when your processes, policies, or required output formats change.
